Dibond is an aluminum sign panel that has a SOLID plastic core. 3mm (1/8") thick DiBond panels are highly rigid and sturdy. Dibond is the premier aluminum composite material (ACM) for over 15 years. It is comprised of two pre-painted sheets of .012" aluminum with a solid plastic core. Dibond is completely rustproof, waterproof, rot proof and chemically resistant, making these perfect for indoor or outdoor use! Street Signs, parking signs, real estate signs, informational signs, and essentially all signs you would use aluminum for work well using Dibond.

Aluminum vs. Dibond
Both are excellent sign materials,; however, because Dibond has a composite core, it is a thicker and lighter substrate than aluminum. Additionally, Dibond is roughly half the weight compared to standard aluminum.
E-Panel vs. Dibond
The main difference between E-Panel and Dibond is that the aluminum surface of E-panel is not as thick (.008” vs. .012). Due to this difference, the aluminum on E-Panel will crack if bent or custom fabricated. Dibond is a stronger and stiffer material compared to E-Panel.
